Previous guests have included Pieter-Dirk Uys, David Kramer, Ina Paarman and, most recently, classical guitarist James Grace.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortune, born Tyrone Robertson in Cape Town, created his stage persona in 1971 and has enjoyed a career spanning cabaret, musical theatre and live performance both locally and abroad. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His credits include Kramer and Taliep Petersen&#8217;s District Six \u2013 The Musical, performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and appearances at the independence celebrations of Mozambique and Namibia. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/districtmailhelderberg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/TerryFortuneportrait_23222.jpg\" alt=\"Terry Fortune performs at Pringle Proms in Pringle Bay on Saturday 13 June.\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1;object-fit:cover\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Cape Town-born entertainer Terry Fortune, whose career spans cabaret, musical theatre and international stages, will be in conversation and song at Brian Berkman&#8217;s intimate Pringle Proms on Saturday 13 June.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2021 he received the kykNET Fi\u00ebstas Lifetime Achievement Award for more than 50 years of contribution to South African entertainment.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Berkman will conduct a live interview with Fortune before the performer takes to song. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A buffet lunch and beverages are included in the ticket price, and guests take their own wine.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Kleinmond Animal Welfare Society, a registered NPO providing shelter, veterinary care and rehoming services to animals along the Overberg coast since 2001.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pringle Proms \u2013 An Afternoon with Terry Fortune takes place at 1332 Edward Road, Pringle Bay, at noon. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Tickets are R450 per person and include a buffet lunch and beverages.
