Locals are invited to step-up for a worthy cause when Flip-Flop Day<\/a> returns on Friday 20 February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The national campaign, led by CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation<\/a>, encourages individuals, schools and workplaces to buy a R10 sticker and wear flip flops in solidarity with families affected by childhood cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This fun campaign carries a serious message, that no family should walk the childhood cancer journey alone,” said Hedley Lewis, CEO of CHOC. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“A small action, such as purchasing a R10 sticker, enables CHOC to provide practical, emotional and educational support when families need it most.”\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The funds raised deliver vital services, including safe accommodation near treatment centres, transport assistance, psychosocial support and educational programmes to help children continue learning during treatment.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign demonstrates how collective participation translates into practical support: \u2022 20 stickers can cover a child’s monthly transport costs to treatment.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 30 stickers fund a CHOC Carebag with essential items and parent handbook for newly diagnosed families\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 60 stickers provide one night’s accommodation at a CHOC House for a child and caregiver\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation is simple: buy a R10 Flip Flop Day sticker from CHOC or Tekkie Town nationwide, wear your stickers and flip flops<\/a> on 20 February, and encourage others to join.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Share photos using #FlipFlopDay26 to spread awareness.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign is supported by key partners including Tekkie Town (retail partner), The Courier Guy (logistics), Ipanema (product partner), and OUTsurance, ensuring nationwide reach and maximum impact.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
