Die Strand-polisie het ‘n 50-jarige man in hegtenis geneem nadat hy Maandag (13 Oktober) met 16 stuks ammunisie in ‘n kous betrap is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twee plaaslike veiligheidsbeamptes was omstreeks 12:00 besig met ‘n misdaadvoorkomingspatrollie in Van Ryneveld, Strand, toe hulle ‘n verdagte sien waar hy in Scarbrow-straat ‘n hek geskop het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die beamptes het die man voorgekeer om hom te ondervra. Volgens hulle het hy vreemd begin optree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hulle het hom deursoek en bevind dat die verdagte ‘n kous met 16 vuurwapenrondes by hom het. Toe hy oor die ammunisie ondervra is, kon hy geen antwoord gee oor waarom dit in sy besit was nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die beamptes het die verdagte aangehou en Strand-polisie na die toneel ontbied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adjudant-offisier Nico Beukes, ‘n woordvoerder vir die Strand-polisie, het bevestig die man is omstreeks 13:00 in hegtenis geneem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘n Polisiebeampte wat op patrollie was, het ‘n onbekende man aangetref met 16 rondes ammunisie in sy besit,<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

het Beukes ges\u00ea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die verdagte is ‘n Strand-inwoner wat in die Southfork-gebied woon. Hy sal op aanklagte van die onwettige besit van ammunisie in die hof verskyn .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ander misdade in die gebied<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Die Strand-polisie ondersoek ook twee afsonderlike rooftogte wat onlangs in die gebied plaasgevind het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘n Haarkappery in Broadlandspark is op Dinsdag 7 Oktober beroof. Die voorval het om 19:00 plaasgevind toe twee verdagtes die winkel betree het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Een het die eienaar gevra wat ‘n haarsny kos. Nadat die man die prys gekry het, het hy in die haarkapperstoel gaan sit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die volgende oomblik het die eienaar iets teen sy sy gevoel, wat die vuurwapen van die tweede verdagte was. Hy het hom aanges\u00ea om nie te beweeg of geraas te maak nie,<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Die eerste verdagte het uit die stoel geklim en die televisie in die winkel ontkoppel. Albei het die TV gevat, dit in ‘n wit Volkswagen Citi Golf gelaai en weggejaag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘n Week later, op Woensdag 14 Oktober, is ‘n 34-jarige inwoner van Nomzamo deur twee onbekende mense beroof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die voorval het om 13:00 plaasgevind toe die vrou onder die N2-brug in Hoofweg in Strand geloop het. Sy is deur die rowers \u2013 ‘n vrou en ‘n man \u2013 genader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Terwyl sy met die man gepraat het, het die vrou haar handsak gegryp en albei het weggehardloop,” <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
