Die Stad Kaapstad se direktoraat vir water en sanitasie het beduidende vordering aangekondig met twee kritieke infrastruktuurprojekte in die Helderberg, wat daarop gemik is om aanhoudende riooloorlope aan te pak.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
‘n Kontrakteur is amptelik aangestel vir die noodsaaklike Trappies-Grootmaat-rioolrehabilitasie, terwyl die Gordonsbaai-pompstasie-en-stygleiding- projek steeds goed vorder.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hierdie kritieke infrastruktuur-opgradering beoog om die 900-mm-deursnee-grootmaat-\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
rioolpypleiding te herstel sodat dit optimaal kan funksioneer en gereelde onklaarraking en oorlope in gebiede soos Strand en Gordonsbaai sal verminder \u2013 veral tydens swaar winterre\u00ebn wanneer stormwater-indringing oormatige druk op die stelsel sal plaas.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die Stad bly verbind tot die opgradering en instandhouding van sy riool-infrastruktuur om stelselbetroubaarheid te verbeter, omgewingsrisiko’s te verminder en dienslewering te verbeter. Hierdie kritieke projekte, saam met deurlopende noodingrypings, is noodsaaklik om ‘n meer volhoubare en weerstandige rioolstelsel vir Kaapstad se gemeenskappe te verseker. Ons waardeer inwoners se geduld terwyl hierdie belangrike werk gedoen word om gemeenskappe te bevoordeel,” het die Stad se waarnemende burgemeesterskomiteelid vir water en sanitasie, Siseko Mbandezi, ges\u00ea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die rehabilitasiewerk van die 900-mm-deursnee-gedeelte strek van die Hoofweg- en De Villiersstraat-kruising tot by die Lourensrivier-rioolpompstasie. Die Stad sal ter plaatse verhardepyp-tegnologie (TPVP) gebruik. Dit is ‘n vernuwende metode wat bestaande pypleidings versterk deur ‘n \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
voering binne-in die beskadigde pyp te plaas en te verhard, wat dit prakties in ‘n byna nuwe toestand herstel.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vordering tot nou: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022\u2009Die stadswye raamwerktender vir TPVP-voering van rioollyne (500\u2009mm tot 900\u2009mm) is op 12 Februarie gefinaliseer. ‘n Diensverskaffer is aangestel om toesig te hou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022\u2009Die kontrakteur het die eerste werk op 28 Maart aanvaar.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022\u2009Om vertragings te beperk, het die kontrakteur tydelik sy terreinkamp by die Lourensrivier-rioolpompstasie opgestel totdat sy nuwe kampterrein goedgekeur is.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022\u2009Die kontrakteur het op 8 April met werk op die terrein begin.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022\u2009Die rehabilitasie word in fases ingestel, met die 450-mm-deursnee-gedeelte van TPVP-voering wat reeds in die 2023-boekjaar voltooi is. Die huidige fase gee voorkeur aan 900-mm-pype \u2013 die 2\u2009300m-deel in De Villiersstraat, Joubertstraat en Faganstraat.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022\u2009Weens die aard van die werk word die projek in vier werkspakkette verdeel met twee tot drie maande tussen elke begindatum om oorpompingsvereistes te akkommodeer. Die eerste werkspakket, langs De\u2009Villiersstraat, sal na verwagting teen die einde van Januarie 2026 voltooi wees.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die Gordonsbaai-pompstasie-projek is nog ‘n kritieke inisiatief wat druk op die Trappies Grootmaat-riool moet verminder deur riool van Gordonsbaai na die Sir Lowry’s Pass-uitvalriool deur ‘n 7,5km stygleiding te voer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die bouwerk aan die pompstasie sal bestaan uit ‘n natput, dro\u00ebput, motorbeheerkamer, kragopwekker en ablusiegeriewe. Ander opgraderings sluit\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
in die sandvanger en vloeimeterkamer. Bouwerk het in Maart 2024 begin en sal na verwagting in Desember voltooi wees.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022\u2009Stygleiding-installasie: 2 624m van 7 503m voltooi\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
