Day two of the Trans-Agulhas Challenge was heated as the top three changed places and the previous number one team ended in third while the team that finished third on day one took first place on day two.
Day two (29 December) had a shorter race distance of only 86 kilometers from Mossel Bay to Stilbaai. The race kicked off at 08:00 and day two was highly contested as team Six Gun Grill (Fanie Mostert and Michael Coetzee) took first place with a time of 01:41:31. In second place was team Rola Ford (Ben Viljoen and Pieter du Toit) with a time of 01:45:11. Third spot went to team Rusgenot Transport (Marc Gleed and Herman Erasmus) who finished in a respectable 01:53:57.
Day three that takes place today (30 December) is twice the distance of day two and the tides between Stilbaai and the gruelling Struisbaai should prove to be a challenge for the competitors.
