Real Ideas FC players from Gugulethu were exhilarated over their new kit donated by Nulaid, which was unveiled at a special event attended by a group of parents on Saturday 1 February at NY 141. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both u-12 and u-14 received the three-piece kit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coach Ricardo Jacobs described the ceremony as a special event, not only to those who were present, but the whole community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the kit meant a lot to them as they had been struggling for many years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are relieved. We used to share the kit with the senior team. I believe it will motivate the team members. We express our gratitude to Nulaid for their support.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Giving the background of the team, he said it was established in 1973. Some of the club\u2019s former players include Mcebisi Skwatsha, Mjaka Mbebe (sports presenter at SABC) and former Kaizer Chiefs player Andisiwe Mtsila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe team has a rich history, but we are struggling financially,\u201d Jacobs said. \u201cOur aim is to keep the children away from the streets. Also, to change their lives and have a better future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

U-14 captain Siyabulela Lutya said the team was thrilled at the new kit. He said their dream came true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m happy having the new kit. Our supporters will be able to identify us on the pitch. And, having a new kit will motivate us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
