I strongly believe that the hatred we have for one another is something we either get at home or in society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
No one was born a racist. However, people become racists because of the bad teachings at home or in the neighbourhood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As human beings, we all have something negative to say about each other, but some choose to ignore them while others use those against other people to satisfy their egos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among those who have influence on creating instability in our societies are the politicians. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Most people who are racist have a political background. It\u2019s a pity that we cannot live without politics. Politics is everywhere. You find it at work, church, even during family gatherings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, in most cases where there is sport people tend to forget about politics and enjoy the game. Even though politics is also there in sport, we tend to forget about it and enjoy ourselves. I\u2019ve realised that during huge sport tournaments such as soccer or rugby world cup, people unite. We forget about our backgrounds and focus on the game. No one talks about politics, we only discuss sport. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is unfortunate that our lives evolve around politics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our country is ruled by the politicians. They control us. They lead us and we follow. They set the tone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our attitude depends on their behaviour. And even if you don\u2019t like politics, you end up getting involved. We can pretend as much as we can, but the reality is we all have our own political organisations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And politics is always there no matter whether we like it or not. It\u2019s something that we must accept and live with. It\u2019s a great pity that we can\u2019t separate politics and race. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As long as there is inequality in our society, politics will always be there. There is nothing that can make the political parties grateful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For example, talking about the newly signed Expropriation Bill, in some sections of society it is vital. People see it as a way to redress the inequality in our societies. While others see it as a reverse apartheid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s up to us as communities to stand firm and instil good morals in our children. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let\u2019s be the change that we want to see in our communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our problems can\u2019t be fixed by politicians. We are the ones that are supposed to take the lead. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
