Look at God (LAG) founder Yandisa Magagana will host music awards to give back to the community of Lwandle and surrounding areas on 27 February at Drama Factory in Halfway, Somerset West.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Magagana, who owns LAG clothing line, said the music awards will be called Look at God Music Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His music is loved in the area and this was the way of showing appreciation especial to the youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He hopes these music awards will take the music in the area to higher heights, and also be an inspiration to other upcoming artist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The awards will have 17 categories and 50 people have been nominated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The music awards categories vary from best choir of the year to song of the year, best DJ, best new comer and best male and females to name a few.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI have received so much support for my clothing line, and most of the support come from the music lovers in this area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, in a way this is giving back to the same community that has supported me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe have a lot of talented youngsters in Lwandle and this will be giving them a stage to shine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By these awards we are showing our appreciation and we want the public to support them going forward,\u201d said Magagana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said they made the calls to the public to nominate people they wanted to see awarded in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The public have been voting since November for their favourite artist, groups and the closing for voting is tomorrow (Friday 14 January).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
