Khayelitsha police are searching for a suspect that stabbed a 29-year-old woman to death at Maphongwana Street in Taiwan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident happened on Sunday evening 8 May, an hour before six people were shot and killed in the same street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Provincial police commissioner Lt Gen Thembisile Pathekile said crimes against women and children are a top priority for the Western Cape police. He added that they will do anything possible to arrest the perpetrator\/s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe fatal stabbing incident occurred on 8 May at about 18:45 in Maphongwana Street, Taiwan, Site C, Khayelitsha. According to reports, Khayelitsha police received a complaint of a stabbed victim at the mentioned address and on arrival found the 29-year-old victim lying on the street with a stab wound to her body,\u201d said Capt Frederick Van Wyk, provincial police spokesperson. He said the victim was certified dead on the scene by paramedics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Van Wyk said the motive for this incident is believed to be domestic violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Khayelitsha police request the victim\u2019s boyfriend, Sivuyile Tshabile, to contact them as they believe he can help with the investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
