A second suspect was bust in the Eastern Cape by police on Sunday 8 May for the killing of five people that took place in New Monwabisi Park, Endlovini, on 14 March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspect, aged 29, is expected to join Madoda Zwayi, who has been trying to apply for bail since being apprehended by police in this case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspects are believed to have shot four men and a woman execution style on Monday 14 March in the area (\u201cK\u2019litsha bloodbath\u201d City Vision<\/span>, 17 March).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Capt Frederick van Wyk, Western Cape police spokesperson, said members attached to the Provincial Organised Crime investigation team conducted a suspect tracing operation in the Eastern Cape with the assistance of Lady Frere police, and arrested a 29-year-old male in Lower Lufuta, Cala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe male is the second suspect to be arrested in connection with the murder of the five people who were shot and killed in New Monwabisi Park, Harare on Monday 14 March,\u201d he pointed out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The suspect was expected to appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrates\u2019 Court on Tuesday, but his appearance could not be confirmed by the Western Cape National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Regional NPA spokesperson Eric Ntabazalila had not responded by the time City Vision<\/i> went to print yesterday (11 May).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Van Wyk said police were searching for a third suspect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Community activist Funeka Soldaat said she was happy with the latest developments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt feels good when you see that police are not sleeping in trying to ensure safety in our areas by arresting criminals,\u201d she said. \u201cWe, however, are still
