Provincial police spokesperson Sgt Wesley Twigg said once charged the suspect will appear in the Athlone Magistrates\u2019 Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The arrest has been hailed by the residents and local community structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nyanga Community Policing Forum secretary Dumisani Qwebe described the arrest as a victory for the family of the deceased and the Nyanga community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are applauding the police for doing a great job. The Nyanga community will ensure when the culprit is appearing in court. We are there to support the deceased\u2019s family. We will ask the judge not to give the perpetrator bail. He deserves to rot in jail,\u201d said Qwebe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
While mourning the death, he said they are relieved that perpetrator has been arrested. \u201cWe are intending to sign a petition which will enforce that the court not grant the perpetrator bail,\u201d said Qwebe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
