Sandisa Skelenge (19), who goes by the stage name Linamandla, is an up-and- coming Afro Soul musician from Zola, Nomzamo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The name, Linamandla was given to her by her aunt who died when she was only a year old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Linamandla said she decided to use the name as it was only her aunt who used it to \u201chonour\u201d her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Currently, she is pushing her single called Amalanga which<\/span><\/span>she released in June this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Linamandla told City Vision <\/span>she decided to pursue music after passing her matric in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIn 2021 I met a group of guys and we started singing which was not something serious. After we broke up because of different commitments i decided to do my own music,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI write my own music and I have now also decided to record and register my music. So far things are going well and in October I will be dropping another single called \u2018Dark World\u2019,\u201d said Linamandla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Linamandla said she loved music so much and it was the only thing she could with \u201cpassion\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhen you do something you love, its even difficult to express the feeling. I love it so much, and next year I am planning to study something that is in line with music,\u201d she assured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Linamandla said, though she was scared to sing at school, she has been part of a Sunday school at her Masibulele Presbyterian Church (Rhabe) in Lwandle. She believes she has a lot to give and music loves will hear her music in the not so distant future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Linamandla\u2019s music can be found on digital platforms such as Spotify and Amazon.
