Nomzamo High School is \u201cproud\u201d to have achieved the 80,1% pass rate for the 2022 National Senior Certificate results and raking in 79 bachelor passes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The school from Nomzamo had 171 learners who wrote their matric examinations with 137 passing and 33 of them achieving diploma passes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This was an impressive improvement for the school compared to the 2021 matric results where they obtained 66, 4%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The school principal Chris Mgubanto attributed the good results to several issues, including, \u201cspot-on analysis\u201d \u201cteachers\u2019 willingness\u201d and children attending school programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt always brings a great feeling when your strategies all come to fruition. We are quite happy with the achievement of our learners for this 2022 class,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur attendance on programmes to help the learners were very good and this is part of the reason we saw such a huge improvement. Our teachers also came to the party, by showing great willingness to assist these learners to do well and it showed at the end of the day,\u201d said a relaxed Mgubanto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He believes if learners lack somewhere, it is for teachers to come up with different approaches to help them, other than rely on \u201cone approach fits all\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI will always say, know your children well, so you can approach them accordingly,\u201d he advised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the meantime, Simanyene Secondary School obtained 79%, a slight increase from the school\u2019s 2021 pass rate of 77,7%. Khanyolwethu Secondary School grabbed 66%, an improvement from 61,6% for the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Simanyene\u2019s principal Monwabisi Matshoba attributed the increase in the pass rate to the \u201cdedication\u201d of both teachers and learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that they also held a camp for the first time for Maths and Maths Literacy which increased their pass mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy calculations were around 86% but we were dealt a huge blow by a subject we thought our learners will easily pass. In the previous year, our learners had obtained 92% on the subject but this time around it was totally different and that impacted negatively on our results,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The school had 266 learners that wrote, 93 obtained bachelor passess, 63 scooped Diploma and 50 grabbed H while there were seven incomplete results. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
