The Lwandle community is reeling after the discovery of a body of an unknown man along Onverwacht Road with stab wounds to his body on Monday 12 June. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They body was discovered in the morning by a passerby who was going to work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A resident, who identified herself as Nwabisa, said she came across the body while she was on her way to the taxi rank. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs I was going to work, I saw a group of people standing together. One of my neighbours called me to come and see if I could recognise the body, which although it was covered in blood, did not appear to have any stab wounds,\u201d she said, describing murder as something common in the area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lwandle Police Station spokesperson Sgt Mthokozisi Gama confirmed the incident. He said a murder docket was opened following the discovery of an unknown male body at about 08:05 on Onverwacht Road, opposite Nomzamo and Lwandle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPolice were alerted and found an unknown body with a stab wound on the left leg and at the back of the ear. The deceased was wearing a blue jean with no shirt or shoes.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe motive behind the murder is unknown at this stage and no arrest has been made.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
