We are appealing to the communities to stop discriminating against them,\u201d said Soko.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He described the forum as a voice of the voiceless. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe forum is a safe space for people living with disabilities. We have challenges of discrimination at work. They are not treated equally with&nbsp;able&nbsp;people. Sometimes, when they go for interviews, the employers prefer able people to them.&nbsp; And some government buildings are not user-friendly for them,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thembisa Gova from Nothemba Warehouse for the Disabled described the occasion as a special day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She said they wanted the communities to recognise and accept them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gova said the&nbsp;fun walk allowed them to raise their concerns.&nbsp;\u201cAs people living with disabilities, we want to tell people that we are here to stay. They must accept us and stop discriminating against us. Parents must stop locking their children indoors.
