They then left the scene,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gama stated that four men were injured and taken to the nearest hospital where one of them died on his arrival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-discovered\">Discovered<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div contenteditable=\"false\" data-embed24=\"Blockquote\" data-pos=\"middle\" id=\"embed_44aac3f4\">\n<div class=\"text\">\u201cLater, the officers discovered that there was another man who was shot and killed in the same incident,\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>said Gama, adding that there were several cartridges and rounds of ammunition that were found at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A community leader, who preferred to speak on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisal, said there is a high crime rate in the area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that people are killed every weekend. \u201cWe are not safe here. The criminals are doing as they please. The officers are trying so hard to fight crime with the limited resources that they have,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The leader urged the community to work with the officers to fight crime. \u201cOfficers alone cannot fight crime. We need to work together as a community. Or if the community doesn\u2019t trust the officers they can report any wrongdoing to the members of the community policing forum then they forward it to the officers,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lwandle police detectives are appealing to anyone who might have information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects to tip-off the Lwandle police station or
