Langa police are investigating cases of murder and attempted murder after two men were shot by unknown men on Thursday 25 July while driving a car at Ndabeni Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of them died on the scene while the passenger was injured and was taken to the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Provincial police spokesperson W\/O Joseph Swartbooi said Langa detectives are hard to apprehend the suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe circumstances surrounding a shooting incident on Thursday 25 July in Langa at about 10:40 in Ndabeni Street, are under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUpon arrival at the crime scene, Langa police found the body of a 33-year-old man who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnother adult male, who also sustained gunshot wounds, was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment,\u201d said Swartbooi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the motive for the attack is yet to be determined and the suspect\/s fled the scene and are yet to be arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ward 51 councillor Lwazi Phakade said they are shocked by the incident. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hen urged the community to stay vigilant at all times. He said crime is becoming a norm in Langa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe want the law to take its course against the perpetrators. We are terrified by the incident. And we are concerned about our lives, particularly the children.
