Residents from SST informal settlement in Town Two, Khayelitsha are appealing to the City to drain the water from the local park.
They are concerned about the lives of their children as they are playing in the water.
Resident Nomaphelo Vangqa said she keeps her children indoors because they want to go and play in the water.
“The park was flooded since the heavy rains almost three weeks ago. We are appealing to the City to come and drain the water from the park because our children have no other place to play,” she said.
