Members of the Qhakaza Disability Group in Nyanga donated shoes to their fellow members and community members at Blue Hall in Town Two, Khayelitsha, on Saturday, 20 July.
Nosiyabulela Gqwaka, the leader of the Women’s Desk in Qhakaza, described the event as part of their 67 minutes for Mandela Day.
She stated that they donated one-sided shoes to those with only one leg.
Gqwaka emphasised that their organisation is there to protect and represent people living with a disability.
