In an effort to promote writing and reading, Nkuthalo Tyutulo the founder of Nkuthalo Media from Lwandle has published his anthology.
The book titled Akukho Nkang’ idubul’ ingethi has a collection of poems written by young writers from the area. The book has 13 poems.
“These are young passionate writers who need to be groomed. I decided to compile their poems and publish a book so people could read them. There are 12 young writers and I am the 13th one,” said Tyutulo, adding that their ages are between 15 to 28.
The poems are about various things including love, depression, witchcraft, murder, jealousy, death, etc. He described the project as part of his initiative to promote young writers.
“The poems are written in three languages which are isiXhosa, English and isiSwati. I asked each person to write in the language they are comfortable with,” he said, adding that this project is a platform for young writers to showcase their skills.
He said the book is part of the Ezethu Incwadi Young Authors’ project spearheaded by his company.

“I’ve decided to initiate this project to assist young writers because most of them don’t have funds to publish a book. I started this initiative in 2022. Each year, I publish two books,” explained Tyutulo.
He said the major challenge is that many people don’t buy books written in vernacular languages and prefer those written in English.
Tyutulo said the book is available only from him at R150. Phone Tyutulo on 078 785 6961 for details.
