The construction of Lwandle Technical High School is nearing completion as the facility is expected to be open early next year. Most of the classrooms and offices are nearly complete.

Ward 86 councillor Xolani Diniso stated everything is proceeding smoothly accor-

ding to plan. He mentioned the school was built at the right time as some of the lear-

ners in the area struggled to access schools in the previous years.

He noted that the population in Lwandle is increasing annually due to people moving from the neighbouring communities and other provinces.

“We want every child in Lwandle to go to school. This is a special school. It is designed for specific children. Not all the children excel in academics. So, we aim to empower those who face challenges by providing them with skills,” said Diniso.

He described the school as one of the top schools in the area and said it would prioritise children from Lwandle. “Even the teachers who will be hired here will be the best teachers.”

Construction workers are in the race against the clock to complete the work.
