The Vrystaat Arts Festival will launch the first edition of the New Dance Umbrella from 4 to 9 July, with the main programme running from 2 to 8 October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This will feature new works from contemporary choreographers who have been invited to create and collaborate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In July Bloemfontein-based artist Thami Majela will premiere the work POP, which was co-created with French choreographer Matthieu Nieto<\/span><\/span>,<\/span> in the Free State. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In October the two commissioned works include Zann<\/span> by Fana Tshabalala, a co-production with French composer Benjamin Magnin, which looks at isolation and loneliness.
