Bloemfontein\u2019s Mika-Leigh Strydom won the U15 individual race at the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) Pentathlon and Laser Run World Championships in Bath, England, on Saturday (19\/08).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The young athlete, who is a Gr. 9 learner of the Eunice High School, improved the winning time of 2022 with 14 seconds. This makes her the new U15 world champion in this age group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mika-Leigh and her teammates, Megan Kleinhans and Tatiana Tomathos, also won the girls U15 gold team medal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
