The police in Navalsig are looking for suspects in a double murder case that took place over the weekend in Ryk Tulbach Street, Noordhoek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An elderly couple, a 77-year-old male and 71-year-old female, were last seen by their neighbour, at their home on Sunday around 12:00. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Tuesday a family friend, after not being able to get hold of them over the phone, decided to visit their home and noticed that all gates were closed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He then decided to call the police to investigate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A patrol vehicle was despatched to the couple\u2019s home at around 19:20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police found the elderly man lying in a pool of dried blood next to a door. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On further investigation the police also discovered the body of the 71-year-old woman inside the house. Paramedics declared the victims dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The victims had multiple wounds to the head and body. It is suspected that a blunt object could have been used in the murders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A team of experts were summoned to process the scene. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A case of double murder was opened at the Navalsig Police Station. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
