The Kagiso Trust, in partnership with the Sasol Foundation, hosted the sixth Provincial Technical Schools Skills Compe\u00adtition themed \u201cTrades are the Future Skills\u201d in September. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The top learners and educators in the Free State then advanced to represent the province at the National Skills Competition from 26 to 28 September at the Artisan Training Institute (ATI) in Roodepoort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Paul Spies, a teacher at the Ho\u00ebr\u00adskool Sand du Plessis, came second in the national competition in the category for Engineering Graphics and Design. Andr\u00e9 Fouche of the Louis Botha Technical High School (THS) placed second in Carpentry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This initiative highlights the im\u00adportance of creating pathways that foster technical skills and equip learners with the tools to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
