The Mzansi National Philharmonic Orchestra is South Africa\u2019s renowned national orchestra that graced the presidential inauguration this year with their performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prepare to be captivated by the nation\u2019s top orchestral musicians as they bring to life the enchanting and grand symphonic suite \u201cScheherazade\u201d by Rimsky-Korsakov, which Sarah Oates, the distinguished co-concertmaster of Mzansi Philharmonic, will lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The concerts will open with a world premiere of the powerful \u201cShaka iLembe Suite,\u201d composed by the highly accomplished South African Philip Miller, featuring the incomparable Mbuso Khoza and the versatile singer Ann Masina; leading into a first-half finale with the young and brilliant South African pianist, Leo Gevisser, who recently graduated from the Juilliard School in New York. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gevisser performs the famous \u201cRhapsody in Blue\u201d by George Gershwin. This year marks the 100th anniversary of this iconic piece. The concert will be conducted by Kirill Karabits, internationally acclaimed conductor recently honoured by His Majesty King Charles III.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
