Bloemfontein Life Saver Len-Douglas Mc Kay won a bronze medal in the 200 m Super Lifesaver event at the Orange Cup on 7 and 8 December in Rotterdam, Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event was held at the Zwemcentrum in Rotterdam, where 17 countries took part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mc Kay was part of the South African national open team. This team, along with the junior national team, were exceptional. The latter set a new record in the 4 x 50 m Lifesaver Relay. Mc Kay, the only South African to win a medal, came fifth in line throw, fifth in the 4 x 50 m medley relay, and seventh in the mixed 4 x 500 m pool lifesaver and 4 x 50 m pool lifesaver events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
