‘n Bloemfonteiner wat vroe\u00ebr sy storie van oorlewing in ‘n boek neergepen het, het danksy die berig wat in BloemNuus<\/em> verskyn het, sy verhaal op TV vertel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Juan Maree, ‘n sakeman van die stad, het in sy Engelse boek “More, More<\/a>“, vertel hoe hy twee dae lank sonder kos en water langs die verlate Weskus oorleef het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hy was Sondag 26 April te sien in die kykNET-program Kw\u00eala waar hy op die bank met die aanbieder Hannes van Wyk gesels het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Juan het gesels oor die boek, maar ook oor die rede waarom hy die boek geskryf het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hy het aan Hannes vertel dat die gebeure aan die Weskus in 2012 by hom gespook het. “Ek het daaroor gedroom. Dit het baie gehelp om my ervanging neer te skryf.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘n Tweede dramatiese gebeurtenis het daartoe gelei dat hy uiteindelik die boek oor sy wedervaring saamgestel het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Mei 2025 het hy en sy vrou Michelle, en hul kinders Skyla en Nicholas, in Tailand vakansie gehou. Hulle het pas in hul kamer op die 39-ste verdieping van die hotel aangekom, toe ‘n massiewe aardbewing die stad skud. Die Maree-gesin moes die hele 39 verdieping met die trappe af vlug. Dit terwyl water van die swembad ook teen die trappe af gestort het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ons was so dankbaar om ongeskonde di\u00e9 ervaring te oorleef. Dit is toe dat ek besluit het om die boek te publiseer. “<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hy s\u00ea ‘n mens waardeer nie altyd die goeie goed totdat jy die teendeel ervaar nie. “‘n Slegte ervaring skep ‘n maatstaaf waarteen jy die goeie dinge in jou lewe kan meet en waardeer.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As die boek ‘n verskil in een mens se lewe maak, het ek my doel bereik.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hy s\u00ea dit was ‘n wonderlike ervaring om sy storie op televisie te kon deel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die boek sal einde Mei op Takelot beskikbaar wees en is ook as e-boek<\/a> beskikbaar op Amazon en Kindle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
