BLOEMFONTEIN:<\/strong> A boccia player of the Martie du Plessis School received a silver medal for a well-deserved second place at the World Boccia African Regional Championships in Cairo, Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Naledi Nhlapo took part in the chamionships that was held from 29 July to 3 August.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n This matric learner managed to excel on the boccia court along with braving all the academic pressures of her final year of schooling.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n She plays in the BC4 category and, in fact, has held the title as the top player in this category in South Africa since last year. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n Holding on to her title during the national championships for the physically disabled in April, she was selected as part of the South African team that travelled to Cairo.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n Her second place in the women’s BC4 singles game at the championships came after she played against Aune Ametenya from Namibia and won 5 \u2013 2.
