It was all hands on deck on Monday (18\/07) to ensure the success of the 67 Minutes campaign for Mandela Day in honour of former president Nelson Mandela\u2019s humanitarian legacy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Multitudes of people came together to drive goodwill gestures on this day, which coincides with the birthday of the late statesman, who was born on 18 July 1918. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On this day the public of South Africa is en\u00adcouraged to volunteer to contribute towards nation-building, in addition to reaching out to their fellow man. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The day is also celebrated globally, with people embarking on various acts of goodwill. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Locally, the Mediclinic Bloemfontein\u2019s staff made a donation to Child Welfare and Childline Free State in the form of repurposed glass bottles filled with ingredients that each constitutes a wholesome meal for four people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The private hospital honoured Mandela\u2019s legacy under the theme \u201cDo what you can with what you have, where you are.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Mangaung Retired Teachers\u2019 Association (Mareta) donated food to the Bophelo HIV\/AIDS Centre at the St Peter\u2019s Methodist Church, while Central24 \u2013 of which Express <\/span>is a
