Applications for all-inclusive bursaries, made available by a leading South African supermarket retailer, are now open. Shoprite bursaries are offered for the 2023 and 2024 academic years to high-performing students enrolled for degrees at South African universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is open to students enrolled in Accounting, Criminology, Information Technology, E-Commerce, and Retail Business Management and it covers tuition fees and on-campus accommodation. In the last financial year, the retailer spent over R16 million on its bursary programme, which funded 206 students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll bursary recipients are offered employment with the group on completion of their studies,\u201d said Lungile Koti, senior early careers specialist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bursary applications are to be submitted before 30 April. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the largest private sector employer in South Africa, the group is one of the top graduate employers in the country.
