Moses Kekana, a Kroonstad-based entrepreneur specialising in solid and electronic waste management, is one of the 16 contestants vying for this year\u2019s Pitch & Polish R1 million prize. They are vying to progress into the next round of the competition which will culminate with the ultimate prize winner later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kekana is the only contestant from the Free State selected, thanks to his perfectly polished business pitch for his entrepreneurial company, Green Kid Enterprise. The 16 candidates are continuing with the presentations of their business pitch to convince a panel of judges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The judging panel found the contestants have demonstrated exceptional innovation, talent, determination, and ingenuity throughout a rigorous selection process. The panel found the shortlisted candidates possess entrepreneurial qualities that are much-needed in today\u2019s business landscape. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After entries closed on 10 April, the organisers painstakingly combed through numerous entries to identify the 16 contestants to compete for the whopping R1 million at stake. The competition has a broad mix of business models, ranging from beauty networking platforms to concrete rehabilitation services, and environmental as well as waste management similar to that of Kekana. His company deals with solid waste such as paper, plastics, cardboard, etc. and e-waste such as office cartridges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
