Marking Youth Day, the community of Phase2, Bloemanda, will host the Youth Sport Day, featuring community netball and football teams, on Friday (16\/06). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is a community initiative organised by youth in the area, prompted by the a persistent increase in the number of youth resorting to crime and drug abuse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It aims at encouraging young people to participate in sports activities as an alternative to giving in to the temptation of crime involvement. The goal is to inspire them, to effectively build resilience among young people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Participation in the sports day is free, and it is open to interested youth from various areas in Bloemfontein. They are encouraged to form teams to represent their respective areas or sections. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event will be staged at the Motheo Cr\u00e8che in Phase2, starting at 09:00. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
