The Free State department of health said the event tied with the awareness campaign on cancer prevention during September and October. A cervical cancer drive occurs during September, with breast cancer in October, encouraging screenings for early detection and awareness about clinical interventions, providing support for survivors. Activities were under the theme \u201cNo one Should face breast cancer alone<\/span>\u201d.<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n \n This achievement is measured among care and medical treatment that include interstitial brachytherapy as a method for treating cervical or cancer patients.<\/span><\/i>\n<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n Breast and cervical cancer are prevalent diseases affecting women, a survey revealed, noting breast cancer affects about 27 in 100 000 women in South Africa, and accounts for 16% of cancer deaths amongst women.
