It is crunch time in stream B of the ABC Motsepe League in the Free State, with two clubs facing off in the Dr RP Molemela Stadium on Saturday, 2 March. The two teams, Mangaung Unite FC and Mathaithai FC, meet in the return leg of the league competition, which has a strong possibility to decide the stream winner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kick-off for this intriguing top of the table clash is at 15:00. A point separates them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unite, as the only undefeated team in the provincial league, is topping the log with 31 points, while the strong challenger, Mathaithai, is breathing down Unite\u2019s neck with 30 points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Victory for either side will intensify their chance of winning the stream, whilst a defeat will be devastating for both, considering their opportunity to win the stream. While a win is the ultimate for both clubs, they will accept sharing the spoils rather than a loss, which will jeopardise their title-winning aspirations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Led by Tladi Monnanyane, Mathaithai is approaching the eagerly awaited game with a two-fold objective: to end Unite\u2019s long-standing undefeated record, and dethrone them from the helm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With two matches remaining to finish the race, both cannot afford to donate points, but are rather compelled to pull out all the stops to realise their ambition and win the stream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The stream winner will meet the winner of stream A to decide the Free State\u2019s overall champion to qualify for promotion play-offs to the second-tier profession league. The play-offs will be staged later this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In stream A, the favourites to win are Bloemfontein Celtic FC and D\u2019 General FC. These two shared the spoils after they drew one-all in a match played on 18 February. Celtic is still leading with just two matches left before the league ends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
