Graduates between the ages of 18 and 30 are invited to apply for the newly launched youth project of the South African Breweries (SAB), Talent Challenge. Applications close on Friday, 31 May. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Talent Challenge hurdles take place from 1 June to 31 July and culminate in the grand finale interview in August. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme is structured around three key work streams: commercial, supply chain and technology. Participants will engage in a multi-phased journey, solving real-life business problems. They will undergo an assessment that will evaluate them across a range of abilities and behavioral styles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The selected participants will be placed into teams of three members each, which will be assigned to the different categories, and they will receive a business challenge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The team with the best solution will be invited to the SAB\u2019s offices and will have the privilege of presenting to SAB\u2019s senior leadership. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A selection of top-performing candidates will be given employment opportunities at the SAB in one of the company\u2019s graduate programmes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The breweries initiated the project informed by the country\u2019s ever-increasing youth unemployment figure, currently at 44%. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Talent Challenge is our way of upskilling young people with soft and hard skills that will build their confidence and aid them in positioning and differentiating themselves in the job market,\u201d said Bridget Makhura, SAB vice-president of people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt will also empower them to navigate the country\u2019s corporate landscape by exposing them to real-life business challenges.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
