Two undefeated teams in the Varsity Football men\u2019s championship, the University of the Free State (UFS) and the University of Pretoria (UP Tuks), are braced for a tough battle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They face off tomorrow \u2013<\/span> Thursday, 15 August Z<\/span> in a top-of-the-table clash at Shimla Park, Bloemfontein. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The stakes are high in this intriguing encounter, wherein either side is both likely to extend its unbeaten record \u2013 or have it end. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Kick-off is at 19:15. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Kovsie men have the added edge of playing at home to plot the end of the visiting team\u2019s unbeaten run. They have won one game and played to a draw in one of the matches played at their home turf of Shimla Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Though the two teams are tied in their allocated points on the log roster \u2013<\/span> seven points each \u2013 the visitors from Pretoria are currently at the helm due to an advantage of one goal over Kovsies, who is in second place with four goals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Of the eight university clubs in the competition, the two top-seeded are the only ones that have conceded one goal after three rounds of their matches played thus far. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Both seemed to have forgotten their shooting boots at home in last Thursday\u2019s matches, in which they shared the spoils after playing to a goalless draw. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Kovsie drew with the struggling Tshwane University Technology (TUT) and UP Tuks with the North-West University (NWU) in matches played in Bloemfontein and Pretoria, respectively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The forthcoming match will test their ability to execute a game plan and use their goal-scoring ability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Both Kovsie and UP Tuks are among the favourites to secure a slot in this year\u2019s semifinal of the tournament, scheduled
