Engo Free State has received much-needed aid to continue providing significant welfare service and reaching several vulnerable people, including children. This support has arrived in the form of staple food and a R54 000 donation, courtesy of the Human Auto Bloemfontein and Ford SA dealership. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The goodwill gesture is part of the dealership\u2019s international Global Giving programme. This was presented on Tuesday, 6 August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alda Fourie, provincial Engo marketing consultant, said the food hampers were to alleviate the plight of families in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThese food parcels are distributed throughout the Free State by the Engo Family Care offices. These bring great relief to communities and families who are suffering. We very thankful to Human Auto Bloemfontein for the selfless and continuous support to Engo,\u201d said Fourie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said the cash injection would bolster the organisation\u2019s plan to continue rendering care through its programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Fourie, Engo serves more than 200 000 people in the Free State annually through their 33 child and youth care centres, 20 elderly care centres, 10 family care offices, disability care centre, adoption office, and hospital care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEngo has been active in the Free State for more than 120 years and aims to bring eternal hope from a Christian perspective to people in need,\u201d said Fourie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
