A young man found guilty of raping a 22-year-old physically challenged woman in Sasolburg was sentenced to 15 years\u2019 direct imprisonment following successful prosecution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Free State High Court at sitting in Sasolburg on 8 August sentenced Tshepo Lethebe (24) for raping the victim on 7 February 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sgt Sinah Mpakane, spokesperson for the provincial police, said the accused had forcedly dragged the victim to his place of residence, where he then raped her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said the accused had been nabbed shortly thereafter. He fell asleep next to the victim, who managed to get out to ask for help. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
