Denial<\/span>: It is a conscious or unconscious refusal to accept facts. Some people may become locked in this stage.<span>2. Anger<\/span>: This manifests different in each person. Common expressions used are \u201cWhy me?\u201d and \u201cIt\u2019s not fair!\u201d<span>3. Bargaining<\/span>: This stage traditionally involves seeking solutions, but it rarely provides sustainable solutions.<span>4. Depression<\/span>: It is an intense feelings of sadness and disengagement.<span>5. Acceptance<\/span>: This stage brings peace regarding the loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-coping-strategies\">Coping strategies<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>seek out caring people;) express your feelings;) take care of your health, eat well and rest;) postpone major life changes, allow time to adjust;) be patient; and) seek outside help when necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Families South Africa (Famsa) renders bereavement counselling.
