S\u00f3 nooi Velda Taudie van Heidedal wat onlangs die niewinsgewende organisasie Girl with a Mission gestig het.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sy bied die Walk for Healing Walkathon aan om vir jongmense te s\u00ea dat oefening depressie te\u00ebwerk en dat daar mense is wat omgee.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dit is oefening wat Taudie deur ‘n baie traumatiese tydperk van haar lewe geneem het.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2013, toe sy en haar man in Bellville-suid in die Wes-Kaap gewoon het, het hy aan erge depressie gely. Eendag het hy homself reg voor haar doodgeskiet. Daarna het sy alles verloor \u2212 en teruggekeer na haar ma in Heidedal, waar sy begin oefen het om haar kop skoon te kry.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die volgende trauma het egter voorgel\u00ea. In 2018 het die polisie van Bellville gekom en haar in Bloemfontein in hegenis geneem vir haar man se dood. Sy het ‘n naweek van hel beleef; eers in die selle in Bloemfontein en daarna in Kaapstad. Voordat sy die Maandag in die hof verskyn het, is die saak uitgegooi en moes sy self haar weg terugvind huis toe.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Daarna het ek in ‘n erge depressie verval. Dit het lank geneem voordat ek weer, in 2020, begin oefen het en my lewe bymekaar kon kry,” s\u00ea sy.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taudie s\u00ea sy wil nou baie graag jongmense wat aan depressie ly en swaarkry, help. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Daar is nie baie hulp vir jongmense in my gemeenskap wat swaarkry nie. Ek wil met Girl with a Mission die stilte rondom selfdood en depressie breek. Ek wil vir kinders s\u00ea: Daar is hulp daar buite. As jy nie weet waarheen om te gaan nie, vra vir hulp.”\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sy s\u00ea sy hoor soveel jongmense s\u00ea dat niemand vir hulle lief is nie. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Selfdood in ons gemeenskap is ‘n groot bron van kommer.”\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taudie s\u00ea mense van die gemeenskap wat onlangs selfdood gepleeg het deur voor ‘n trein in te gaan, is voorbeelde hiervan.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ons is gemaak om vir mekaar lief te wees. Met Girl with a Mission wil ek ‘n veilige omgewing skep vir kinders wat depressief is en nie uitkoms sien nie.”\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sy s\u00ea oefening het haar baie gehelp om haar selfliefde te vind. Walk for Healing word op Saterdag 27 September om 07:00 aangebied.Die roete begin by die Billy Murison-stadion in Heidedal. Jongmense van 12 jaar en ouer word genooi om deel te neem.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
