Daar was Saterdag 31 Mei ‘n heerlike gees onder die spanne, wat ingeskryf het vir Solidariteit Helpende Hand se potjiekoskompetisie wat by die Vrystaat-nasorgsentrum aangebied is.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marli Buys van Solidariteit s\u00ea die dag se inkomste gaan hoofsaaklik vir die organisasie se studiefonds, maar ‘n bedrag is ook aan die sentrum geskenk ,wat hul terrein beskikbaar gestel het.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die oggend se bedrywighede het begin met twee wedlope in die omgewing van die nasorgsentrum terwyl die potjiekosmakers hul potte en bestanddele reggekry het. Die ernstige drawwers kon deelneem aan ‘n 10km-veldwedloop en vir di\u00e9 wat dit ‘n bietjie rustiger wou vat, is ‘n 5km-pretloop ook aangebied waar mense kon draf of stap en selfs hul honde saam kon neem op ‘n uitstappie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zak Steyn het met sy musiek seker gemaak dat almal in die regte stemming vir kuier is.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buys verduidelik die doel van di\u00e9 dag was sodat almal kan saamkuier en saam eet, maar ook om geld in te samel sodat Afrikaanse kinders gehelp kan word om te studeer en hul drome te verwesenlik.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besoekers het van 12:00 af bakkies potjiekos van verskillende potte geproe en self die wenners aangewys.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die span van PSG Donald Murray se afvalpot het die dag koning gekraai, met Top Carpet se span, wat tweede was en Die Potters se potte wat ‘n hoenderpot, bees-kortribpot en ‘n lieflike potbrood ingesluit het, wat ‘n derde plek gekry het.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Bloemies-span het die prys vir die beste gees ontvang.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Louise Pretorius van PSG, wat gehelp het om die dag ‘n sukses te maak, s\u00ea dit is belangrik dat ondernemings op so ‘n lekker manier by liefdadigheid betrokke raak.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Francois Prinsloo, bestuurder van die Vrystaat-nasorgsentrum, het Saterdag ges\u00ea dit is lekker om as liefdadigheidsorganisasie met Solidariteit Helpende Hand hande te vat vir ‘n goeie doel.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buys s\u00ea hulle oorweeg dit beslis om di\u00e9 dag ‘n jaarlikse instelling te maak. “Ons hoop dit kan volgende jaar selfs groter wees met meer besoekers wat kom saamkuier en eet.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
