This year’s Mangaung International Music Expo (Mime) presents nine top-notch performing artists to unleash their best to enthrall audiences at the Windmill Casino.
This lifestyle and music event will rock the city, starting on Saturday, 7 December ending on Sunday.
This follows the success of last year’s event.
Cream of the crop of artists billed to perform at the event include Bondo, Dumza, Leomile, Nhlanhla Dube, Sebonwang, Simple Stories, S’nazo, Tears of Joy and Tsimo. They will offer the audience value for their money during the two days.
This year’s theme is “#African Songs into Democracy”. The event is organised by Thope Produxions to celebrate South Africa’s 30 years of democracy.
“It aims at impacting on social diversity and enabling attendees to share experiences, celebrate diversity and engage with different cultures. The event will make provision for exhibitions by music associations and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs,” said Lebo “Thope” Leisa, organiser and award-winning theatre director and playwright.
“It brings together diverse cultural groups and showcases multiple music genres to celebrate the rich tapestry of South African musical heritage.”
Leisa said there would be insightful discussions by a panel that features prominent role players, including lawyers in the entertainment industry.
Tickets cost R150 on webtickets.co.za.
