Correction:
Express published a photo on the front page of the newspaper’s edition for 11 October with a caption that wrongly identifies Johané Marais as Chezel Classens. Both are overall winners in the National Teaching Awards.
Classens was first in the Grade R teaching category, while Marais won first prize in the Excellence in Teaching Mathematics (GET) category.
Express apologises to all parties for the inconvenience caused arising from the mistaken identification.
