An insanely passionate football pair, Vuyo Tiger (left) and Kitso Chooane from Bloemfontein, were among the hundreds of vociferous fans who braved the winter cold to pack the Toyota Stadium on 11 June, in support of Bafana Bafana in their 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifier fixture against Zimbabwe. The duo was snapped shortly after purchasing their tickets to watch the senior men’s football team outclass the Warriors 3 – 1 in Bloemfontein. This was the first Bafana Bafana encounter played on Free State soil in quite a while, with the last being against France in the 2010 Fifa World Cup – the first-ever staged on the African continent.Photo: Teboho Setena
