The pair of Tshepo Lediga (left, financial clerk at the Trompsburg Police Station) and Capt. Ayanda Langa (from Mpumalanga) received awards in the category of sportsmen with a disability at the 11th SAPS National Excellence Awards held in Bloemfontein on 27 January. Lediga received recognition for excellent performance in chess, while Langa enjoyed the same for impressive form in para games. They were finalists in their category.
