Free State tourism product owners are urged to participate in the annual domestic tourism promotion campaign Sho’t Left Travel Week.
About 16 establishments from the province participated during the previous two years, according to the provincial Department of Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (Destea).
According to planning, this year’s campaign will run from 4 to 11 September, tying in with Tourism Month and World Tourism Day on 27 September. The initiatives that are part of this are aimed at creating awareness, promoting domestic tourism and cultivating a culture of travel among the locals.
Registration can be done for free on shotleft.co.za/travelweek before the closing date of 25 August. Participants can register for as many deals as they like, ranging from accommodation to airlines, car rental and transfer companies, museums, restaurants, and experiential businesses.
Participants can upload deals with unlimited images onto a carousel for each deal. Images should be of high quality and be a good representation of their business.
The primary image should not contain logos or text. Video is also supported.
The Sho’t Left marketing campaign, which includes social media, TV, radio, and outdoor media, will alert the public to more deals.
