Great prizes and a possibility of publication await the winners of the annual AVBOB Poetry Competition, for which entries will be awaited until 23:59 on 30 November.
Poets are invited to submit up to ten poems in any of South Africa’s official languages relating to the theme “I Wish I’d Said . . .”
The judges will select some of the strongest poems for inclusion in a glossy coffee-table book, which also provides each poem’s English translation.
This competition is now in its seventh year, and the AVBOB Poetry Project hosts a website containing thousands of poems submitted since its inception.
