The poor condition of the pitch at the Dr RP Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein has resulted in the delayed relocation of the Marumo Gallants Football Club.

The club announced its intention to permanently move to Mangaung on Thursday (17/08), after a brief stay in the city during the just-ended 2022-’23 term of the DStv Premiership League.

The club will start its new life in the country’s second-highest professional division, known as the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Due to the delay caused by the substandard pitch in Bloemfontein, the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) in Vanderbijlpark has been chosen as the temporary venue for the club until the Dr RP Molemela Stadium is deemed ready for use.
