Two teenagers from Bloemfontein who were reported as missing, have been found alive and well. The Bloemfontein police confirmed the pair, Alicia Jacobs (16) and Bernice Bosch (15), were found following an extensive search.
The were reported missing at the Bloemfontein Parkweg Police Station after they disappeared from a Bloemfontein school. According to Cap. Loraine Earle, provincial spokesperson of the Free State police, the teenagers were located and found safely on a farm in Jacobsdal. She said they were reported as missing on Friday, 2 August.
“This is thanks to the swift and collaborative efforts of our dedicated officers and the vigilant members of the public. The Parkweg police wishes to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the community for their invaluable assistance in locating the two children.
“Police worked around the clock to follow up on information and this morning detectives from Jacobsdal followed up on information that they were hiding on a farm in the district. The members went to the farm and found the girls unharmed. They will be brought back to the school in Bloemfontein,” said Loraine.
